
After taking a course at the Academy for Gastronomy in “de Echoput“, I felt sad that my Mondays were no longer filled with people, good food and great wines.
Since I would like nothing more than to start my own restaurant, it seems like a good idea to “play restaurant” and get more experience in making menus, picking wines, going grocery shopping, preparing dishes and balancing costs. And as a benefit, I get to host dinner parties, entertain people and become a better chef. Finally, as well as having my friends and family over more often I will be meeting new ones.
Hence the idea to host a “diningroom restaurant” once a month at home.
