Today I’m hosting a private dinner party for 6 guests. Nothing special but it is the first dinner after hurricane Irma hit Sint Maarten on Sept 6th 2017. So somehow it feels like a big deal. Supermarkets have common stock again, fresh produce is still scarce but I can make due with what’s available.
6 guests, surprise menu and a good glass of wine which each of the three courses. Main course: sirloin steak, medium rare, whole grain rice, assorted canned veggies and a French Cahors wine from 2005
