Made a dessert for Marianne on her birthday to go with the second icewine from Canada. Austrian Kaisersmarren. Bit of improvisation but the result was excellent!
I had picked a 2008 Vidal icewine from Magnotta vineyards in Toronto, Canada. It is the most golden honey and raisin-like from the three ice wines.
To match the tones sweet and acidic i made Kaiserschmarren with strawberry coulli and plumb jam.
